Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
