Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
YaSeen. 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 thou art truly among the Envoys 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The Word has been realised against most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 And We have made before them a barrier and a barrier behind them, then We have covered them over so that they do not see. 9 It makes no difference to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they will not believe. 10 You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward. 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
