We built the heaven with might, and We widely extended it. 47 We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide! 48 We have created everything in pairs so that perhaps you may take heed. 49 Therefore fly to Allah, surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 50 And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them, but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!" 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 so ignore them, you are not to blame, 54 And remind; the Reminder profits the believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me. 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Surely Allah is the Bestower of all provision, the Lord of all power, the Strong. 58 And indeed for these unjust is also a turn of punishment, like that of their companions – so they must not ask Me to hasten. 59 Woe, then, unto those who disbelieve in their Day which they are promised. 60
