۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 'Why do you not help one another? 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 but [since it will be too late,] they will turn upon one another, demanding of each other [to relieve them of the burden of their past sins]. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world); 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 on couches facing each other. 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
