We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night.
