The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 and serried acacias, 29 and shade extended, 30 and waters gushing, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
