The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
