And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority 96 to Pharaoh and his Council; but they followed Pharaoh's command, and Pharaoh's command was not right-minded. 97 He shall stand at the head of his people on the Day of Resurrection, and shall lead them into the Fire. Evil is the place to which they shall be led. 98 A curse followed them in this world, and shall follow them on the Day of Resurrection. What a foul gift to be given! 99 THIS ACCOUNT of the [fate of those ancient] communities - some of them still remaining, and some [extinct like] a field mown-down - We convey unto thee [as a lesson for mankind]: 100 We did not wrong them, rather, they wronged themselves. Their gods that they called upon, other than Allah, did not help them when your Lord's command came; they did not increase them except in their destruction. 101 Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful, and severe. 102 Verily herein is a sign unto him who feareth the torment of the Hereafter. That is a Day whereon mankind shall be gathered together, and that is a Day to be witnessed. 103 And We defer it only to a term already reckoned. 104 The day it comes no soul will dare say a word but by His leave; and some will be wretched, some will be blessed. 105 As for the wretched, they shall be in the Fire, and in it they shall sigh and groan. 106 remaining in it timelessly, for ever, as long as the heavens and earth endure, except as your Lord wills. Your Lord carries out whatever He wills. 107 ۞ And those who are blessed, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord will, a gift without an end. 108 So do not be in doubt, [O Muhammad], as to what these [polytheists] are worshipping. They worship not except as their fathers worshipped before. And indeed, We will give them their share undiminished. 109
