Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 and the partitioners, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
