Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble scribes 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
