Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
