Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 We glorify God." 166 And there were those who said, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
