Seest thou not those that dispute concerning the Signs of Allah? How are they turned away (from Reality)?- 69 Those who deny the Book and what We have sent down with Our apostles, will soon come to know 70 When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged 71 into the boiling water, then into the Fire they are poured; 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 associated with Allah in His Divinity?” They will say: “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anyone before.” Thus will Allah cause them to stumble in error. 74 (They will be told): “This is because while you were on earth you took delight in untruth and exulted in it. 75 Enter Hell now to abide in it. How woeful is the abode of those who wax proud! 76 Wherefore persevere thou; verily the promise of Allah is true; then whether We let thee see a part of that wherewith We have promised them, or whether We cause thee to die, unto Us they all will be caused to return. 77 Before your time We sent other messengers: of them there are some whose story We have related to you, and some whose story We have not related to you. It was not [possible] for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of God: but when the command of God was issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice. There and then, those who stood on falsehoods perished. 78
