Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humans, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
