And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 the people of Pharaoh, who refuse to be conscious of Me!" 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
