It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture [animals]. 10 He groweth for you thereby the corn and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Verily therein is a sign for a people who ponder. 11 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. 12 And [He has subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on the earth of varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, so that you may eat its fresh seafood and bring forth from it ornaments to wear. You see the ships cleaving through it. All this, so that you may seek His bounty and feel grateful. 14 He has set up on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake under you, and rivers and tracks, so that you may find your way, 15 And landmarks (signposts, etc. during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves. 16 Is then the One Who creates like the one who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 If you count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Assuredly God is forgiving and kind. 18 God knows all that you conceal or reveal. 19 And those whom they worship other than Allah, do not create anything but are themselves created. 20 They are not living but are dead. They can not know when they will be raised. 21
