We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
