The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
