Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the morning hours 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
