And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 [But when Moses had delivered his message, Pharaoh] said: "Did we not bring thee up among us when thou wert a child? And didst thou not spend among us years of thy [later] life? 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
