The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples." 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 And surely your Lord is the Lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful. 73 And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare. 74 And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in a clear book. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 And truly, it (this Quran) is a guide and a mercy to the believers. 77 Surely, by His Judgement, your Lord will decide between them. He is the Mighty, the Knower. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 You do not make the dead hear, nor do you make the deaf hear you call when they turn about, retreating. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
