The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
