He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 and fears (Allah), 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 then the way eased for him, 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 to yield therein corn, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 And fruits and herbage 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
