The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
