People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 about what they did. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
