It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And one part of him will say: "This it is that has been ever-present with me!" 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 There is no changing of My word, nor am I unjust to My creatures." 29
