The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
