Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
