The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
