He it is Who hath created for you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 78 And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back. 79 And He it is who grants life and deals death; and to Him is due the alternation of night and day. Will you not, then, use your reason? 80 They say exactly the same thing as the people who lived before. 81 'When we are dead and become dust and bones shall we be resurrected? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 83 (Muhammad), say to them, "Tell me, if you know, to whom does the earth and its contents belong?" 84 They will say: Allah's. Say: Will you not then mind? 85 Say, "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and of the Glorious Throne?" 86 They will surely say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not, then, fear (Allah)?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say, "(It belongs) to Allah." Say: "Then how are ye deluded?" 89 We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise falsehood! 90 Allah has not taken to Himself any son, there is no other god with Him. Were this otherwise each god would have taken that which he created, and some of them would have risen above others; Exalted is Allah beyond that they describe! 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
