Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
