The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
