VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 [Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." 46 And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other. 47 "No sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave it." 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment. 50 And tell them of the guests of Abraham, 51 When they entered upon him, they said, Peace. He said: Surely we are afraid of you. 52 They said, “Do not fear – we convey to you the glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.” 53 He said, “Do you convey to me the glad tidings upon old age reaching me? So upon what do you convey glad tidings?” (* Prophet Ibrahim said this out of surprise.) 54 They (the angels) said: "We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing ones." 55 "Who would despair of the mercy of his Lord," he answered, "but those who go astray." 56 [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 57 "We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people, 58 “Except the family of Lut; we shall rescue all of them.” 59 But not his wife; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind. 60
