And the believer said, “O my people! Follow me, I shall show you the way of righteousness.” 38 "O my people! This worldly life is but a brief enjoyment, whereas, behold, the life to come is the home abiding. 39 Whoso doeth an ill-deed, he will be repaid the like thereof, while whoso doeth right, whether male or female, and is a believer, (all) such will enter the Garden, where they will be nourished without stint. 40 ۞ My people, "How strange is it that I invite you to salvation when you invite me to the fire. 41 You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver. 42 “So it is self evident that what you call me towards has no benefit being prayed to, either in this world or in the Hereafter, and that our return is towards Allah, and that the transgressors only are the people of the fire.” 43 You will remember what I say to you. To Allah I commit my affair, surely, Allah sees His worshipers' 44 Then Allah saved him from (every) ill that they plotted (against him), but the burnt of the Penalty encompassed on all sides the People of Pharaoh. 45 The Fire; they are exposed to it morning and evening; and on the day when the Hour upriseth (it is said): Cause Pharaoh's folk to enter the most awful doom. 46 And when they shall contend one with another in the fire, then the weak shall say to those who were proud: Surely we were your followers; will you then avert from us a portion of the fire? 47 Those who were proud say: Lo! we are all (together) herein. Lo! Allah hath judged between (His) slaves. 48 The dwellers of hell fire will ask its keepers, "Pray to your Lord to relieve us from the torment at least for one day". 49 They say: Came not your messengers unto you with clear proofs? They say: Yea, verily. They say: Then do ye pray, although the prayer of disbelievers is in vain. 50
