Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
HaMeem. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Verily in the heavens and the earth are signs unto the believers. 3 And in your creation, and what He scattered (through the earth) of moving (living) creatures are signs for people who have Faith with certainty. 4 And in the alternation of night and day, and in the means of sustenance – water – which Allah sends down from the sky whereby He gave life to the earth after its death, and in the movement of the winds – (in all these) are signs for people of intellect. 5 These are the portents of Allah which We recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth. Then in what fact, after Allah and His portents, will they believe? 6 Woe to every guilty impostor 7 Who hears the Verses of Allah (being) recited to him, yet persists with pride as if he heard them not. So announce to him a painful torment! 8 And when he knoweth aught of Our revelations he maketh it a jest. For such there is a shameful doom. 9 There is Hell before them; and whatever they have earned will not avail them in the least, nor those whom they take as friends apart from God. There is great chastisement for them. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. And those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, for them there is a painful torment of Rijz (a severe kind of punishment). 11
