(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
