Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 About the criminals, 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
