The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 when they were seated over it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
