The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
