And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 These people say, 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
