The Stars (Al-Najm)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the star when it sets: 1 your companion has neither strayed nor is he deluded; 2 And he speaketh not of his own desire. 3 It is a revelations which has been revealed to him 4 and taught to him 5 Of might, he (Gabriel) stood firm 6 While he was on the uppermost horizon. 7 then came down close 8 And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer. 9 So did (Allah) convey the Inspiration to His slave [Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)]. 10 The heart was not untrue in (making him see) what he saw. 11 Will you then dispute with him as to what he saw? 12 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) during his other ascent 13 Nigh unto the lote-tree at the boundary. 14 Near it is the Paradise of Abode. 15 When the lote-tree was being enveloped, by whatever around it. 16 The sight (of Prophet Muhammad SAW) turned not aside (right or left), nor it transgressed beyond (the) limit (ordained for it). 17 Certainly he saw of the greatest signs of his Lord. 18 Have you then considered Al-Lat, and Al-'Uzza (two idols of the pagan Arabs). 19 And another, the third (goddess), Manat? 20 Do sons belong to you and daughters to God? 21 that, lo and behold, is an unfair division! 22 They are not but [mere] names you have named them - you and your forefathers - for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow not except assumption and what [their] souls desire, and there has already come to them from their Lord guidance. 23 Or shall man have what he wishes? 24 So (know that) Allah only is the Owner of all – the Hereafter and this world. 25
