Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
