Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is it timed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
