The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
