The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
