The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
