3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
