What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed, 36 from the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every one of them hope to enter [by this means] a garden of bliss? 38 No, that is not like that! Verily, We have created them out of that which they know! 39 But nay! I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able 40 to replace them by others who would be better than they; and We shall certainly not be overpowered. 41 So leave them alone to plunge and play, until they encounter the Day which they are promised; 42 A day when they will come out of the graves in haste, as if rushing towards their goals. 43 With their eyes lowered in fear and humility, ignominy covering them (all over)! That is the Day which they were promised! 44
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej). Sent down in Mecca after Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah) before The News (Al-Naba')
