Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
