Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ya-Sin. 1 By oath of the wise Qur’an. 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 and that you follow the right path. 4 by [virtue of] what is being bestowed from on high by the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 Indeed, the word [of God's condemnation] is bound to come true against most of them: for they will not believe. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 And We shall raise a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, and cover them over so that they will not be able to see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You only warn he who follows the Remembrance and fears the Merciful in the Unseen. Give to him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 Verily We! We shall quicken the dead. And We write down that which they send before and their footsteps. And everything We have counted up in a Book luminous. 12
